Renewals
In order to maintain a license to practice, psychologists must renew their license on a schedule set by the psychology licensing boards. The largest proportion of respondents require licenses be renewed every two years (57%).
Inactive Licenses
Approximately 67% of respondents provide for an inactive license status. A psychologist who holds an inactive license may not practice psychology but may continue to use the title “psychologist”. A psychologist who holds an inactive license continues to be subject to the statutes and rules/regulations of the psychology licensing board.
